Mortal remains of Shri Maheshwari consigned to flames

Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, The mortal remains of Navbharat Group of Newspapers Chief Editor and ex-MP Shri Prafulla Kumar Maheshwari were consigned to flames at Bhadbhada Vishram Ghat on Friday. His elder son Shri Sandip Maheshwari lit the funeral pyre. Prafullaji’s younger brother Vinod Maheshwari, Sanjeev Maheshwari, Sumit Maheshwari and all family members were present on the occasion.

Dignitaries associated with various walks of life including politicians, administrators, social organizations and journalists paid their homage to Maheshwariji.

Prafullaji had passed away following heart attack on Thursday night. His last journey for Bhadbhada Vishram Ghat began at 4pm from his residence at E-3/22 Arera Colony.

Prominent among those who were present included Bhopal MP Alok Sanjar, senior Congress leader JP Dhanopia, Ashok Jain Bhabha, Congress district president Kailash Mishra, senior BJP leader Ramesh Sharma Guttu Bhaiyya, Shailendra Pradhan, Chamber of Commerce former president Kailash Agrawal, Hanut Shri (Mannat Bawa), former IPS Swaraj Puri, senior scribe Vijaydutt Shridhar, Malay Shrivastava, Pankaj Pathak, Ashok Manoria, Vijay Manohar Tiwari, Jai Prakash Upadhyaya from Sehore, Ajay Ghurka from Piparia, Puneet Dubey from Itarsi, Rajkumar Dubey, Subhash Dubey, Jeevan Bhai, Hariom and large number of other prominent citizens.

They paid their rich tributes to Shri Maheshwari.Educated at Nagpur University, being a senior scribe Shri Maheshwari visited many foreign countries with several prime ministers as member of press delegation. His views and news reports during tours of European nations were much appreciated.

Before union of Germany, he was invited as observer by German Government. He toured the world as leader of Youth Cultural exchange.
