MUMBAI: The lawyer of absconding businessman Mehul Choksi, accused in the PNB scam, told a special Prevention of Money Laundering Act court on Saturday that he could appear before it as soon as he is medically fit to travel, most likely in three months.
The application, made through advocate Sanjay Abbot, states that Choksi is willing to cooperate, however, due to his ill health, he is unable to travel. "The court may direct the investigating officers to travel to Antigua where the accused is currently residing, which will enable them to conduct investigations," the plea states.
