FAIZABAD: The two main litigants in Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit, Iqbal Ansari from Muslim side and Mahant Dharam Das from Hindu side have written a joint letter to the President seeking his intervention for fast track hearing of the case in the Supreme Court.
Talking to TOI, Ansari said, "We have urged the President of India to intervene in the judicial process and take measures for constitution of a special bench for speedy hearing of the case."
"The situation of uneasiness and chaos prevailing in the society over Ayodhya issue must end, so we have requested the president to intervene and get the verdict at the earliest. This dispute must come to an end," said Mahant Dharam Das.
Iqbal Ansari is the son of Hashim Ansari, the initial main litigant in the Babri Masjid dispute.
