4 offer lift to man near Dhaula Kuan, rob him at gunpoint

GURUGRAM: Four men have been booked for allegedly robbing a security guard at gunpoint after offering him left near Dhaula Kuan.
According to Manoj Kumar (34), the incident happened on Thursday evening when he was on his way to Dharuhera. “As I had returned from my native place in Punjab, I was looking for a taxi near Dhaula Kuan to take me to Dharuhera. A Swift Dzire stopped near me and the cab driver agreed to drop me. There was one person sitting on the navigator’s seat when I sat in the car. After a while, two other men got inside the car. Around 8.30pm, when we reached near IFFCO Chowk, the person sitting next to me, pointed a gun at me and asked me to give them all the money and valuables that I had,” Kumar told police.
The accused allegedly thrashed Kumar when he resisted and snatched his gold chain, gold ring and Rs 32,000 cash before pushing him out of the car near Sector 34. An FIR has been registered against the accused under sections 379-A (snatching), 34 (common intention) of the IPC and Section 25-54-59 of the Arms Act at Sadar police station.
