Antigua witnessed 52,491 stayover visitors in the third quarter, an 8.56 percent rise in comparison to the same time last year.
That was accompanied by 36 percent rise in cruise passenger arrival, a total of 26,631 passengers. The expansion was driven by almost 12 percent growth from the United States market, which keeps on being the largest feeder market for Antigua and Barbuda tourism.
While a smaller proportion, the Canadian market went through overwhelming growth, with a rise of nearly 112 percent in the same period.
Total visitor arrivals for the year stand at 744,390, a rise of 12.18 percent in comparison to the first nine months of last year.
