'They offered us a free holiday!' The Bachelorette's Taite Radley struggles to explain THAT Fiji sighting with runner-up Todd King... after rumours it was a publicity stunt to boost ratings
Fans of The Bachelorette were blindsided on Wednesday when the two finalists - Taite Radley and Todd King - were spotted in Fiji, presumably en route to film the new season of Bachelor in Paradise.
The photos appeared to prove that Ali Oetjen was still single after The Bachelorette, but were later debunked as 'staged' by producers to drum up publicity for the finale.
When asked about the 'stunt' on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Friday, eventual winner Taite, 28, offered a rather lacklustre explanation for the sighting.

'Channel 10 gave us some time off and offered us a free holiday, so we took it up,' he said during a joint interview with girlfriend Ali, 32.
'So, you and Todd went on holidays together?' asked radio host Jackie 'O' Henderson, sounding rather sceptical.
'Todd was over there. I met him and we caught up,' Taite replied, looking visibly uncomfortable.

'So, what was Todd already over there for?' Jackie asked again, prompting the bank manager to awkwardly respond: 'I'm not too sure...'
He added: 'Todd was doing the same thing [as me], a bit of downtime.'
The interview comes after a production source told Daily Mail Australia that Todd and Taite's Fiji holiday was just a 'publicity stunt'.

Happily ever after! Ali chose Taite as her winning suitor during Thursday's Bachelorette finale
In a bid to trick viewers and media outlets, Bachelorette producers arranged flights so it would appear that both Taite and Todd were appearing on Bachelor in Paradise.
Such a scenario would inevitably lead fans to the conclusion that Ali was single after The Bachelorette, therefore adding a layer of 'intrigue' to the season finale.
'[Producers] flew both finalists to Fiji to make it look like they were both filming Bachelor in Paradise,' the source said.
'It was an attempt to make everyone think that Ali is still single, but actually she is still with the winner and they are very much in love'.'
