The Sunday Project film crew were left in shock after they were booted off Hamilton Island in the wake of a series of shark attacks in the Whitsundays.
The broadcast journalists have hailed it as a deliberate attempt at censorship by the local tourism board.

The Channel 10 crew were there to film a story about shark attacks for The Sunday Project, which will be aired this weekend.
They were then escorted off the island.
Journalist Hamish Macdonald said on Twitter: 'Tour operators are breaking ranks to tell us they're being "silenced" by the tourism body.
'And INCREDIBLY, our crew was escorted off Hamilton Island after being told we're not welcome there.'
Mr Macdonald told news.com.au that locals also felt they had been silenced by the local tourism body.

The journalist claimed their camera crew had struggled to find people willing to take them out on a boat to film their story.
The Whitsunday islands rely on the many tourists that flock to the popular islands, located in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef.
Last year saw a total of 296,000 Aussies holidaying on the islands and an additional 233,000 people from overseas, according to statistics from Tourism & Events Queensland.
Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Tourism Whitsundays for comment.
