India are on a roll in the ICC Women’s World T20 having blown away all the opposition in their path so far. However, the biggest test comes on Saturday when the Indian eves lock horns against Australia. While both the teams are considered as title contenders and a spot at the top of the table up for grabs the contest at Providence Stadium, Guyana promises to be a humdinger. A victory against the Kangaroos will also serve as a massive confidence booster ahead of the semi-finals.

Led by Harmanpreet Kaur, India have ticked all the right boxes to register three consecutive wins. India opener Smriti Mandhana said that India’s mindset will be to dominate each and every contest. “That’s what our mindset will be, and to go all out. Before coming into the World T20, Ramesh Powar (coach) had told us that you have to dominate each and every match.”

This does seem possible as young Jemimah Rodrigues has been equally brilliant. The experience of Mithali Raj also came to use in the crucial match against arch-rivals Pakistan. The likes of Smriti Mandhana and Veda Krishnamurthy will look to score some runs against Ireland.

HOT DEALS

In bowling, off-break bowler Dyalan Hemalatha and leg-spinner Poonam Yadav shone with 10 wickets among them so far, and the seamers will look to get going in the coming games.

Meanwhile, led by Meg Lanning Australia will look to keep their momentum going. Up till now, they have beaten Pakistan, Ireland, and New Zealand. Australia boasts of a number of match-winners in their side, especially the likes of opening batter and wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy, her partner Beth Mooney, all-rounder Ellyse Perry, besides the experienced duo of Megan Schutt and Elyse Villani.
