Vehicles from Nellikuppam Salai and GST Road pour into the intersection

The traffic at the intersection of Nellikuppam Salai and the service lane of Grand Southern Trunk (GST) Road, Guduvanchery, has become unmanageable and during rush hour, negotiating the junction is an ordeal. Now, motorists have requested the Chennai Traffic Police to deploy police personnel at the intersection.

At present, motorists from Nellikuppam Salai take a right turn towards Urapakkam and take a left turn towards Kattankulathur. In the process, they line up till the intersection, waiting for a green signal.

As a result, motorists taking the service lane find it difficult to enter Nellikuppam Salai or Guduvanchery bus terminus.

“Motorists proceeding towards Kattankulathur do not wait for the signal at the service lane intersection, creating traffic chaos. Of late, negotiating the service lane and the intersection has become an arduous task. Even commuters alighting at the bus terminus find it riskier to enter Nellikuppam Salai,” says S. Sundar, a resident of Guduvanchery.

A CTP personnel assured to do the needful.
