'Not going swimming today!' Fisherman shares terrifying footage of dozens of huge sharks trailing his boat

Terrifying footage has emerged on social media of a school of hungry sharks trailing a fisherman's boat in Australia.

Facebook user Devlin Wise, who lives in Queensland, uploaded the 49-second clip on Thursday.

The keen angler from Gladstone playfully declared he 'wouldn't be going swimming today' after sharing the clip online.  

The video has already had over 11,000 views and has been shared almost 200 times.

Kayaker Kyle Roberts did have a lucky escape from a four metre tiger shark off Queensland's Sunshine Coast on Thursday morning.

The local resident was paddling about a kilometre off the beach near Caloundra when the shark knocked him off his kayak.

David McLean, a duty officer with Surf Life Saving Queensland, said Mr Roberts was in shock when lifeguards reached him on jet skis.

'There was no blood in the water — nothing else to attract any sharks — the attack came out of the blue,' he told the ABC.

'As he stated, he's very lucky to be here.' 

Thursday also saw iconic Bondi Beach in Sydney's eastern suburbs closed following two shark sightings by swimmers.
