A rowdy farewell party for members of a Melbourne Fire Brigade featured sex dolls, a golden penis and comments about a pregnant woman's breasts.

With prominent firefighter union members present, guests got fired up at the Westend Market Hotel in Sunshine, 13km west of Melbourne's CBD.

Long-serving members who have now retired received raunchy gifts, including a plastic doll with a golden appendage, The Herald Sun reported.

Another firefighter - who worked the graveyard shift - was gifted a 'weary' plastic sex doll held together with electrical tape.

But, the fun didn't stop with the gifts, as some guests were taken aback after comments were made about women's breasts at the event, including those of a pregnant woman.

There were only a few raised eyebrows and under the breath comments about the night's behaviour.

Chief officer of MFB Dan Stephens said those who were acting immaturely were reprimanded by senior staff who took immediate action.

'MFB has been made aware of inappropriate behaviour at a recent retirement function,' Mr Stephens said.

'MFB is committed to a respectful and safe workplace for employees, and discrimination, bullying, inappropriate conduct, sexual harassment or vilification will not be tolerated.'

Daily Mail Australia has contacted the Metropolitan Fire Brigade for comment.
