Winter is coming, which means it’s time to find the perfect winter wear that can pack in all the warmth. While it looks like oversized jackets are creating quite a buzz this season, there is another fad that is leading people to redefine their approach to winter gears. We are talking about heated apparels and shoes that can heat themselves with the touch of a button.

Ororo, a heated apparel company has come up with a range of vests, coats, and sweatshirts that come with a rechargeable battery that sits in the jacket’s left pocket. The battery pack is expected to last for up to eight hours and can also be used as a portable smartphone charger. The heat pack promises to keep you warm even under sub-arctic climatic condition. It is priced at $139.99, approximately Rs 10,000.

Jimmy Choo also released a pair of heated boots called Voyagers, complete with heated insoles that are controlled by a free app, available on both Android devices and iPhones. The temperature can vary between 77 to 113 degrees Fahrenheit.

To use the boot’s heating features, all you need to do is charge it with a USB cable, download the app and select the pair of Voyager shoes you have.

According to the company’s website, the shoes are designed to stay warm for up to eight hours, subject to outside weather conditions. They retail for US $1895, approximately Rs. 1,36,089.
