Is this the most Australian deal ever? Liquor store offers $2 beers for customers wearing THONGS during summer
- Deal which seems too goo to be true has been revealed at Australian bottle shop
- Reddit user shared the image of a BWS summer promotion offering beer for $2
- Offer is for a limited time and only people who are wearing thongs get the beer
A liquor store offering a special beer discount for customers wearing thongs has been praised online ahead of Australia's scorching-hot summer.
The promotion, which was spotted at a BWS store in Melbourne, was uploaded to Reddit and quickly drew dozens of comments.
The deal, which is part of the company's 100 Days of Summer Promotion, says that anyone wearing thongs can purchase selected beers for just $2.

Reddit user TasmaniaK shared an image (pictured) from his local BWS liquor store showing a large advertisement for the company's 100 Days of Summer Promotion
'Yeah but nah but. Sale gets repeated,' the poster responded.
He took the image in Victoria but the deal is offered at all BWS stores.
'I love this country,' one user wrote in response to the deal.
If I owned thongs, I'd do it. Saw this in my local BWS this arvo. Beer on ice at the till.
However not everyone was as positive about the BWS offer.
'$2 beers for thong wearers + Australia = Marketing person sacked after bws (sic) suffers profit slump,' one user wrote.
Daily Mail Australia contacted a BWS spokeswoman who confirmed the deal was legitimate.
'The offer in the Reddit social post was for $2 stubbies of Iron Jack or $2 cans of Furphy beer,' the spokeswoman said.
'The 100 Days of Summer campaign has a number of different promotional offers running every Thursday under the heading 'Thong Thursday'.

The advertisement states that anyone who came into that BWS, on that day, wearing a pair of things would be able to purchase selected beers for just $2 (stock image)
The spokeswoman said the campaign was designed as a light-hearted way to engage the community during the summer months.
'The campaign kicked off during the Spring Carnival and runs through until Australia Day weekend,' the spokeswoman said.
'The promotion celebrates Australians' love of socialising and celebrating outdoors during the summer period, slapping on sunscreen, filling up the esky, and heading to a mates backyard for a BBQ or down to the beach for a game of cricket.'
