Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, after dating for six years, are now finally man and wife! 

The two got hitched according to Konkani rituals on Wednesday, and will marry for a second time according to Sindhi rituals on Thursday.

The wedding festivities which are going on in Lake Como, Italy, is a very private affair with only ill-defined, elusive photos from the do surfacing on the internet, and scoops about the big day cropping up every now and then.

However, nothing concrete or pictures of the newlyweds have come out yet.

Earlier, the couple had announced in their wedding invite that all guests should direct gifts to a charity that Deepika Padukone supports- The Live Love Laugh Foundation. 

But one celebrity and close friend of the couple, Farah Khan gifted something very special to the two when they went to her place to give her the invite. 

Apparently, when Deepika and Ranveer visited Farah's home to invite her for the wedding, the choreographer-filmmaker gifted them a lifelong memento which had their  personalised hand impression.

It was made by a reputed life casting artist Bhavna Jasra. 

Talking to Times of India, Bhavna said, "I heard them arrive and greet Farah with great affection. Farah then told them that she has organised a surprise gift for their wedding and called out my name to do the honours. They greeted me with happy smiles and on knowing what the surprise was, they gleamed with joy. Directing the couple on how they should put their hand together to make a tight clasp was a special moment. I felt as if time stood still when Ranveer and Deepika posed for pictures with their hands clasped tightly in my clay. Thank you, Farah, for making me a part of Ranveer and Deepika's love story."

Talking further about her experience with Deepika and Ranveer, she said, "Farah is a dear friend. She called me one morning asking me if I could come to her place, as she wanted to make a special wedding gift for Deepika and Ranveer. She wanted to surprise them and literally hid me in another room."
