Bhopal: BJP’s star campaigner and former minister Ramkrishna Kusumaria has entered into the election fray as a rebel. Kusumaria on the last day of withdrawing nomination refused to withdraw his papers. Kusumaria, who is a member of state election committee, has filed nominations from Damoh and Patharia as independent candidate Some leaders of BJP withdrew their nomination on the last date but many are still in the fray. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other leaders spoke to Kusumaria but he did not budge.
Former minister KL Agarwal, MLA Narendra Singh Kushwaha, Rajkumar Mev, former MLA Brahmanand Ratnakar, Sudama Singh, Visvamitra Pathak, Ramesh Khatik, former mayor Samiksha Gupta, BJYM former president Dhiraj Pateria,JP Mandloi, Urmila Bareth,Usha Saxena,Gaurav Pardi, Pradeep Singh along with some more leaders are still in the election arena. Former finance minister Raghavji, MLA Sangita Charel, Chander Sisodia, former MLA Jitendra Daga, Surendra Singh Babiraja and some leaders withdrew their nomination formsmorning. Even Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar and state president Rakesh Singh spoke to the displeased lot and tried to pacify them. While some relented, a good number of disgruntled leaders
No expulsion as of now:
Sahasrabudhe rebels will not be expelled from the party as of now, declared BJP state incharge Vinay sahasbudhe. He said that a few have already withdrawn from the electoral fray, while discussions are still on with many others. He said that rebels could still withdraw from electoral fray. citing party’s constitution on action against rebel leaders, sahasrabudhe said, no time limit has been prescribed for it.
Cong sacks three rebel candidates
congress on wednesday expelled three rebel leaders for not accepting party command. congress suspended ex-MLa Javier Meda , who is contesting the election from Jhabua seat. The party has fielded Vikran Bhuria from the seat. congress leader rupali Bare, who is all set to challenge party’s official candidate from Pandhana constituency has also been sacked. state vice president Prakash Jain informed action against 25 rebel leaders will be taken on Thursday
