IT spends in India may hit $90 billion next year

Information technology (IT) spending in India will grow at 6.7% in 2019 to $89.2 billion, driven by digital transformation investments by both public and private entities, research firm Gartner said

4.5% – Overall IT spends to grow in 2018

$33.014 billion – spends in devices segment, the highest, a 7.4% growth

$30.585 billion – spends in communication services segment, a growth of 2.1%

$15.706 billion – or 13.5% growth in the IT services

1.5% – decline in spends was seen on communication services in 2018

$6.306 bn – spend in in enterprise software spends, a growth of 12.9%

$1.7bn – the BPO segment spend, a growth of 18.5%

$4 bn – consulting services may hit, growing at 15.9%
