The Indian benchmark indices have managed to stay in the green tracking mixed global cues with the Nifty50 up 8 points, trading at 10,584 while the Sensex gained 31 points at 35,173.
At 9:55 hrs, Nifty IT and pharma are up half a percent to 1 percent led by HCL Tech, Infibeam, Tech Mahindra and Wipro while Sun Pharma, Lupin, Glenmark Pharma, Divis Labs, Dr Reddy's Labs and Aurobindo Pharma were the top gainers from the pharma space.
From the auto space, the top gainers included Tata Motors, Hero Moto, Eicher Motors and Maruti Suzuki.
Nifty energy shed half a percent dragged by BPCL, GAIL India, ONGC and Reliance Industries.
From the banking space YES Bank fell over 6 percent on the back of resignation of Non-Executive (Independent) Part-time Chairman of the bank. On the other hand, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank were the top gainers.
From the BSE midcap space, the top gainers were Max Financial Services, Adani Transmission and Bayer Corp while the top losers were NBCC, PAGE Industries and Dewan Housing Finance.
From the BSE smallcap space, the top gainers were Sreeleathers which spiked 15 percent followed by SMPL Infra and DEEP Industries while the losers included Kesar Petroproducts and Chaman Lal Setia.
The top gainers from NSE include Hero MotoCorp, Tata Motors, HCL Tech, Titan Company and Adani Ports.
The top losers included Grasim Industries, YES Bank, Indiabulls Housing Finance, BPCL and GAIL India.
The most active stocks are YES Bank, Reliance Industries, Maruti Suzuki, PC Jeweller and HDFC Bank.
Aarti Industries, Atul and Newgen Software are some of the few stocks which hit new 52-week high on the NSE.
26 stocks have hit new 52-week low including names like Empee Distilleries, Hotel Leela Venture and Somany Ceramics among others.
