A day after elder brother Ajay Chautala’s expulsion from INLD for “anti-party” activities was announced, Abhay Chautala Thursday met their father Om Prakash Chautala at Tihar Jail and obtained his signature on Ajay’s expulsion letter. He obtained Chautala’s signature in the presence of jail officials, a requirement when a convict needs to sign a legal document.
On the other hand, Ajay’s younger son Digvijay Thursday alleged that a group of party MLAs have been sent to a resort in Himachal Pradesh’s Parwanoo to prevent them from attending Ajay’s November 17 meeting in Jind. “I have learnt that at least 10 rooms have been booked in a hotel in Timber Trail for INLD MLAs for next three-four days. It is apparent that they have been taken to prevent them from attending the Jind meeting.”
Abhay’s associate and INLD spokesman Praveen Attrey denied the allegations. “This is a sign of their (Ajay faction’s) frustration,” Praveen told The Indian Express.
