Five people were killed when their car collided with a bus on East Coast Road near Mamallapuram Thursday, the police said.
The five, all in their early twenties, were proceeding to Chennai from Puducherry, they said.
"The incident took place at around 2 am. The driver seems to have attempted to overtake a four-wheeler, but ended up colliding with a bus," police added.
