Pedestrian killed near Sarasbaug

Pune: A woman was killed while her son was injured after the duo were rammed by a two-wheeler outside Sarasbaug temple on Monday evening. 

The deceased was identified as Madhura Dimothe and her injured son as Mihir. A case was lodged by Madhura’s mother-in-law Hema Dimothe at Swargate police station.
 
As per the Swargate police, the deceased, her son and Hema were returning from Sarasbaug temple and were crossing the road when the incident took place. 

Hema and Madhura were holding Mihir’s hand while crossing the road when a two-wheeler rider hit Madhura. While Mihir suffered from multiple injuries, Madhura succumbed  to injuries. 

The family had planned to celebrate Mihir’s birthday on Thursday. The police are yet to trace the two-wheeler rider.
