A married woman and her alleged lover were held on charge of murdering her husband.
Police said the deceased, T. Durga Rao (40) of Neredmet was suffering from serious health issues, and his wife, T. Lavanya spurned his sexual advances. Meanwhile, she became intimate with V.V. Ramakrishna (21), also from Neredmet.
On October 31, Mr. Rao came home and found his wife and the man together. A scuffle ensued after which Lavanya allegedly struck the victim with an iron pipe and Ramakrishna strangled him and dumped the body on Keesara highway.
The duo was apprehended after police analysed CCTV footage. Later, during the interrogation, they confessed to the crime.
