OnePlus 7, like the OnePlus 6T, is also expected to sport an in-display fingerprint sensor.
OnePlus 7 could have an in-display front camera and triple-rear cameras, says a 91mobiles report. This is based on concept renders of the phone, which show the top half of the rendered phone’s front and back. The report also suggests that the upcoming OnePlus flagship’s design could be based on Oppo R19.
As per the images of the OnePlus 7 concept render, an in-display front camera can be seen at the top, as part of an AMOLED display. This phone, like the OnePlus 6T, is also expected to sport an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The render of the display shows the ‘5G’ logo at the front, despite OnePlus denying that the OnePlus 7 would offer 5G support. In addition, the 91mobiles report suggests that the phone will come with a screen-to-body ratio of 95 per cent. It is suggested that OnePlus 7 could feature a 24MP front camera.
The visible portion of the phone’s rear shows a triple camera configuration which is vertically stacked. Of these, the first two cameras are part of a single module, while the third camera is placed below as a separate module. It features the same LED flash setup as seen on previous OnePlus devices.
As per the renders, OnePlus 7 could feature a 24MP primary camera and a 12MP secondary camera, with a third 8MP camera. This configuration is expected to support 4K slow-motion video recording. The phone is expected to have a 4150mAh battery.
While the camera features appear speculative, the in-display front camera has been rumoured around other phones as well, including the Asus Zenfone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S10. For now these image renders cannot be taken as confirmation that this is what OnePlus 7 will look like. After all the phone will only launch in May-June of 2019.
Meanwhile, OnePlus is expected to showcase a new series of smartphones, which will be 5G ready. Speculation is that OnePlus could reveal these 5G ready phones at the new Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona in early 2019.
