HYDERABAD: The Telangana TDP, which came up with its first list of nine candidates, said another list of five candidates would be released shortly. TTDP president L Ramana on Tuesday said talks with the Congress are in progress and they would be finalising candidates for five more seats.

"It will be announced in 2-3 days," he said and appealed to the party leaders and cadre to set aside differences and work unitedly for the victory of Mahakutami.

The nine segments and candidates are: Nama Nageswara Rao from Khammam, Revuri Prakash reddy from Warangal West, Sandra Venkata Veeraiah from Sattupalli, Kothakota Dayakar Reddy from Makthal, Erra Sekhar from Mahbubnagar, T Veerender Goud from Uppal, Bhavya Anand Prasad from Serilingampally, M Nageswara Rao from Aswaraopet and Muzaffar Ali Khan from Malakpet.

Meanwhile, aspirants from Congress, TTDP and TJS, who were denied tickets, were in no mood to relent.

N Rajender Reddy of Congress, who was eyeing the Warangal West seat, said: "This segment has been given to a non-local candidate. How will he win. Will the people of Warangal West vote for a candidate from the pro-Andhra party (read TDP)." He further said: "It looks like thieves have distributed seats among themselves while denying them to loyal party leaders."
