Actor Ravi Teja, who is known as Mass Maharaja among his fans, is ready to enthrall cine-goers with the Sreenu Vaitla directorial Amar Akbar Antony. The actioner is all set to hit theaters on November 16. The actor recently interacted with the media and revealed interesting details about the upcoming flick.
Q. You have played three roles in Amar Akbar Antony. Which one do you like the most?
Personally, I like the character of Amar. It has an intensity and emotion to it. Essaying three characters in one movie is a challenge. And doing this kind of subject is new, not only for me, but for Sreenu Vaitla as well.
Q. You have already done three movies with Sreenu Vaitla. How is Amar Akbar Antony different?
My first movie with Sreenu was Nee Kosam. It was a violent love story and had no comedy in it. Venky and Dubai Seenu had elements of comedy, which is a trademark of Sreenu. I feel the comedy in this movie will strike a chord with the present generation of comedy lovers. The humour parts featuring Vennela Kishore and comedian Satya are going to be one of the highlights of the movie. The moviegoers will also get to see actor Sunil in a proper comedy role.
Q. Sreenu Vaitla’s previous outings have turned out to be box office failures. Did you make any suggestions?
There is no specific reason in teaming up with the director except the story. Sometimes, a director gives a blockbuster and sometimes things don’t happen the way you wish they would.
Q. Are you ready to portray negative roles yet?
Definitely! I am always ready to portray all kinds of characters.
Q. Music director Thaman has already scored music for 100 movies. What can we expect from him in AAA?
First of all, I am surprised to know that Thaman has already completed 100 movies. He is a very good musician and for Amar Akbar Antony, he has given terrific background score. I am sure it will surprise the viewers.
Q. What are the projects that you are currently working on?
Presently, I am doing a film under the direction of VI Anand. However, the news about me doing the remake of Tamil hit Theri is not true. My film with Santosh Srinivas is going to deal with a new subject.
