Congress plaints about images being used in BJP’s campaign

Congress has complained that BJP is using misleading photographs in its campaign. Congress’s media coordinator Narendra Saluja lodged a complaint with the poll body alleging that advertisements published by BJP carry misleading images.  Saluja in his complaint has claimed that the road shown in advertisement is nowhere in MP as vehicular traffic is driving left. He said the image used in advertisement misleads the voters thus the election commission should seek reply from BJP and ban the advertisement.

In another complaint, chairman of the Congress legal cell Ajay Gupta said that the BJP has published advertisements soliciting support for Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the candidate from Budhni constituency of Sehore district. The cumulative cost of advertisements published has exceeded the prescribed limit of election expense of a candidate.  Gupta claimed that the advertisements carry photograph of Shivraj Singh Chouhan that are soliciting support for Chouhan only, thus the expenditure should be added to his election expense.

Minister submits incorrect PAN details
An RTI activist Ajay Dubey has lodged a complaint with the election commission alleging that 3 sitting ministers and one MLA candidate of the BJP have submitted incorrect PAN information in their nomination papers. Dubey said three ministers Paras Jain, Deepak Joshi, Antar Singh Arya, and MLA candidate Ranjana Baghel have presented different PAN information in the election of 2008, 2013 and 2018. Seeking necessary action Dubey alleged that cabinet minister Paras Jain who is contesting from Ujjain North constituency furnished three different PAN in three elections, similar is the case with Joshi, Arya and Baghel.
