1.3kg ganja seized, man held in Mangaluru

(Representative image)MANGALURU: In a major crackdown on drug peddlers, the Mangaluru City police arrested a person with 1.3kg of ganja worth Rs 53,000 near Mannagudda Junction, on Tuesday.
The accused has been identified as K Mithun, a resident of Bhagavati Nagar, Ballabagh. Acting on a tip-off that a person is peddling ganja, sleuths of the economics and narcotics crime wing conducted a raid near Mannagudda Warehouse.
They found Mithun to be in the possession of 1.3kg ganja and seized it from him. Along with ganja, they also seized a motorbike and cellphone from the accused. A case has been registered in this regard.
