For many modern women, it can seem like the list of attributes needed to land a man is endless.

But Australian TV star Sami Lukis decided to draw her own line in the sand when a potential suitor insisted she get a Brazilian wax - or else he wouldn't date her.

'It's one of his dating deal breakers. And he's sticking to it,' she revealed in a piece for news.com.au.

However, the 48-year-old was quick to question the man's choices and his supposed right to choose a perfectly groomed woman.

'I tried giving him the lecture about how rejecting someone for something entirely natural is shallow minded; porn star fantasies at play,' she said.

'And how every woman has the right to do what makes her feel the most comfortable and confident with her most intimate 'ladyscaping' choices.'

And while Sami's former beau may have his preference long figured out, Vogue made waves earlier this year when it brashly told readers 'the bush is back'.

One of the brand's recent articles, claimed that the natural look is 'the new Brazilian' and it's here to stay, according to experts including New York–based holistic ob-gyn Dr. Eden Fromberg.

She told the site that she's observed the return of fuller hair over the past few years, saying: 'Women are becoming increasingly aware that our bodies are a lot more than the visual or sexual playthings that past cultural norms implied.'

Celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Lady Gaga and Cameron Diaz have also spoken out in recent years about how they prefer the natural look.
