Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and her sister-in-law Sofia put their best foot forward this evening as they greeted the President of Italy and his daughter during a state banquet.
The future queen, 41, accompanied by her husband Prince Daniel, dazzled in a jade green floor-length number paired with an emerald necklace which perfectly complimented her green royal sash.
Former model Sofia, 33, opted for a striking pale grey dress with a satin top featuring a bateau neckline and lace skirt as she arrived on the arm of Victoria's brother Prince Carl Philip, 39.
Both women and their husbands wore the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic as a nod to their guests and dazzling tiaras.
The two couples attended the joint engagement together during the state visit of President Sergio Mattarella and his daughter Laura, hosted by Queen Silvia and King Carl Gustaf.

Sofia framed her face with her brunette tendrils, while Victoria chose a slick up do with a side parting.
The mother-of-two, who gave birth to Prince Gabriel last August, opted for a smoky eye and barely-there lipstick.
Walking arm-in-arm with Prince Daniel, who looked suave at the white-tie event, Victoria accessorized with a silver clutch bag and large diamond earrings.
Sofia also kept her jewellery to a minimum, wearing a small silver bracelet, pearl earrings and a petite crown.
The Swedish royals hosted the state banquet at Stockholm's Royal Palace as part of a three-day tour of the country by the Italian delegation.
The visit will focus on digital transformation and sustainability, European co-operation, research and culture.

Having visited Gustav III’s Museum of Antiquities, the Hall of State, and the Royal Stables, Sergio and Laura are set to visit Lund and Malmö.
As the daughter of President Sergio, who is a widow, Laura has accompanied her father on many trips and has acted as the First Lady of Italy since 2015.
Queen Silvia wore a bright purple dress and floor length shawl for the event, and also chose a silver clutch.
It's been a busy time for Victoria and her husband Daniel, 45, who last month visited Jordan to raise the UNs sustainability goals with a focus on equality and climate and humanitarian issues.

They hiked in Amman and took part in Eco Peace talks about their work on improving water conservation in the Jordan River and the challenges of the sinking water level.
The royal couple also visited Pau, in south-west France, along with King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, in early October.
The royals were there to mark the 200th jubilee of the House of Bernadotte, the ruling dynasty in Sweden.
At the end of September, Victoria made a visit to New York where she spoke at a UN summit.
