The mother of a teenage girl who took her own life has given a heartbreaking account of the effect that cyberbullies had on her daughter.
Paula Mills' daughter Summer was just 15 when she died in June after being relentlessly bullied.
Ms Mills told Daily Mail Australia the bullying first started when her daughter was at her New Zealand school but it soon escalated.
'Summer was excluded and relentlessly bullied. I went to her school on numerous occasions regarding it,' Ms Mills said.

Summer developed severe depression which 'stripped her of her self-worth' and transferred to a school for students who are unable to attend their regular school.
'It became increasingly difficult to get her to go to school. I removed her and got her all the help I could find,' Ms Mills said.
'She was doing great until the same bullies got to her online. She tried ignoring them and blocking them however they got through again with an anonymous accounts saying nasty stuff which took Summer down again.'
Ms Mills said Summer was told by the cyberbullies 'no one likes her and her face looked like something that came from a cows behind among lots of other things'.
'I was desperately trying to keep my girl alive but lost the battle. I refuse to let her death be in vain and have become her voice to push for change so others don't go through this unbearable pain. The aftermath is horrendous.'
Ms Mills is now calling for education on cyber bullying in New Zealand schools.

Ms Mills described her daughter Summer (pictured) as 'a kind, caring, sensitive girl' who loved animals and played piano and guitar
'I'm pushing for social emotional learning in our curriculum, new improved bullying programs in schools and awareness and prevention. Kids with pride and empathy don't bully,' she said.
'But the school need to be willing to address (bullying) instead of covering up and watering down this rampant issue.'
Ms Mills said cyberbullies need to think about the consequences of their actions.
'People need to think about the fact that there is a real person behind that keyboard they are tearing down. Cyberbullying from where the bully feels safe is taking another youth's safety zone away and taking lives,' she said.
She said her daughter 'was a kind caring sensitive girl'.
'She was funny, loved animals and played piano and guitar. Outwardly she was always smiling and seemed happy to the world inside the torment she hid well,' Ms Mills said.
Summer's death is still being investigated by New Zealand police and the Coroner.
