Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said the government will consult legal experts on the implications of the Supreme Court order agreeing to hear the review petitions on the Sabarimala verdict in an open court.

Mr. Vijayan told reporters here on Tuesday that the Bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, while agreeing to hear the review petitions in open court, had not issued a stay on the earlier judgment allowing women of all ages to enter the Sabarimala temple.

The government, he said, would examine all legal aspects of the order in consultation with experts before taking further action.
