GHAZIABAD: A provision store in Vasundhara was burgled on Saturday night after the shutter was forced open. The store is located at the basement of a three-storied building in Sector 10.

The burglary was captured on the seven CCTV cameras installed inside the shop. The store owner, Deepak Chaudhary, has claimed that cash and goods worth around Rs 1 lakh had been burgled. The burglar reached the store around 3am and pulled out the wires of CCTV cameras at the entrance. He took almost an hour to break open the shutter and entered the store, which also has a separate section for medicines, around 4am.

“He has been caught drinking a can of juice and munching nuts from the shelves. He also stashed several packets of munchies. He opened the cash counter and took away around Rs 12,000 apart from goods, including shots kept in the refrigerator, in a bag,” said Chaudhary.
