After remaining subdued throughout the day, the Indian stock market has rallied in this afternoon session with the Nifty50 up 75 points, trading at 10,557 while the Sensex gained 245 points at 35,058.
Nifty energy continues to outperform, up 1.5 percent with gains from BPCL, HPCL, Indian Oil Corporation and Reliance Industries.
Selective auto stocks are gaining led by Eicher Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hero MotoCorp, Maruti Suzuki and TVS Motor.
From the infra space, the top gainers included Container Corp, Adani Ports, Adani Power, Interglobe Aviation and NCC.
From the BSE midcap space, the top gainers were Godrej Industries and CONCOR while the top losers were Bank of India and Wockhardt.
From the BSE smallcap space, the top gainers were Nahar Industrial and Nahar Spinning Mills while the losers included Jindal Poly and Allahabad Bank.
The top gainers from NSE include HPCL, BPCL, IOC, Eicher Motors and UltraTech Cement.
The top losers included Tata Motors, Sun Pharma, Power Grid, IndusInd Bank and Indiabulls Housing Finance.
The most active stocks are Jet Airways, SBI, Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank and Eicher Motors.
Gallantt Metal, Sakuma Exports and SMS Lifesciences are some of the few stocks which hit new 52-week high on the NSE.
29 stocks have hit new 52-week low including names like ABG Shipyard, Empee Distilleries, Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company, Navkar Corporation and Hotel Leela Venture among others.
