In a game of cricket, a small mistake might cost you a wicket or whole match. During the 3rd ODI between Pakistan and New Zealand at Abu Dhabi, fans and even the coaching staff of the team witnessed a hilarious situation when a Kiwi fielding error gave Pakistan 5 runs for free. There have been instances when batsmen have got 5-6 runs in a single delivery by running. A similar incident happened when Pakistani batsman Faheem Ashraf hit a ball to get 5 runs off the first ball he faced in the innings. It were terrible fielding errors from the Kiwi side that gifted the hosts’ free extra runs.

The incident happened during the 49th over of the Pakistan innings when Ashraf hit the ball towards the deep square leg. The duo ran for a couple but ended up getting three runs more through running quickly between the wickets. The incident was so funny that it brought smile on Pakistan coach’s face who was in the dugout.
Talking about the match, it was a disappointing day for fans of both the teams as the match ended up in a draw which meant both the teams, Pakistan and New Zealand, were announced as joint winners of the 3-match ODI series. Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman and Haris Sohail scored half-centuries as Pakistan put up a competitive 279/8. In reply, Black Caps were 35/1 in 6.1 overs before rain halted the game.
