The online main examination is expected to be conducted on November 18, 2018. The shortlisted candidates are advised to keep checking IPBS website for updates.
The candidates should carry all documents, as prescribed by the IBPS, on the main examination day.
At the examination centre, the biometric data and photograph of the candidates will be captured twice - before the examination starts and after the examination is over.
Candidates are advised not to carry any of the banned items to the venue of the examination.
Marks obtained only in the online main examination will be considered for shortlisting for interviews and final merit listing.
Process of arriving at scores
The scores of online preliminary examination are obtained by adopting the following procedure
i) Number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the corrected score after applying penalty for wrong answers
ii) The corrected scores so obtained by a candidate are made equivalent to take care of the minor difference in difficulty level, if any, in each of the objective tests held in different sessions to arrive at the equated scores (scores obtained by candidates on any test are equated to the base form by considering the distribution of scores of all the forms).
iii) Final scores in each test are rounded off up to two digits after the decimal point.
