CHENNAI: A Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable saved an unidentified passenger from falling between a moving train and a platform at Chennai Egmore station on Monday.

Police sources said Shraddha Sethu Express from Rameswaram to Faizabad -- which reached Chennai Egmore at 12.30pm – was leaving the station at 1.00pm. As the train started moving, a passenger tried to board the general compartment of the train. He slipped and was about to fall between the train and the platform (number 5).

RPF constable Suman, who was standing on the platform, swiftly responded. The constable dragged the passenger and saved him from falling between the train and the platform.

The passenger didn’t suffer any injury.
