Xiaomi claims to have sold over 8.5 million devices online via Mi.com, Flipkart and Amazon during the festive sales from October 9 to November 8.

Xiaomi claims to have sold 8.5 million devices during this Diwali festive season from October 9, 12 pm to November 8, 7 pm. This figure includes all the sales made by Xiaomi on Mi.com, Amazon and Flipkart. Out of these 8.5 million devices, six million were smartphones, 2.1 million were Mi Ecosystem products and accessories and over 400,000 television sets.

Xiaomi claims to have sold over 2.5 million devices on all of its online sale platforms in just two and a half days of the festival sales. The company claims this included two million smartphones, 100,000 television sets and 400,000 Mi Ecosystem products and accessories.

HOT DEALS

According to Xiaomi, Redmi Note 5 Pro was the best selling smartphone on Flipkart and Redmi 6A on Amazon India during the festive sale season. Earlier Amazon had claimed that among the smartphone brands on the platform, Xiaomi witnesses biggest season with 2.2X growth during the sale season.

Amazon also said Redmi 6A, which is exclusive to the e-commerce platform was the number one selling smartphone.

“Festive season sales in India have always been a defining moment in Xiaomi India’s journey. Last year, we sold 4 million smartphones and went on to become the #1 smartphone brand in India in Q3 2018. This year, we have outdone ourselves by selling over 6 million smartphones, and 8.5 million devices,” Raghu Reddy, Head of Categories and Online sales, Xiaomi India said in a press release.
