New Ford ‘Baby’ Bronco: This Is (Likely) It, As First Photos Slip Out Early!

Ford hasn’t revealed the name of its so-called Baby Bronco, but the company has apparently let pictures of the crossover slip out far ahead of schedule.

First noticed by Off-Road, the pictures were found on a “publicly accessible part of a Ford website hosting pictures” from the company’s dealer meeting in Las Vegas. While the publication suggests the images show the 2020 Bronco, there seems to be far more similarities with the Baby Bronco which is officially billed as a “rugged small utility.”

As you can see in this comparison, the profile of the crossover is identical to a previous teaser image of the Baby Bronco. All of the key details match up perfectly including the rake of the windshield, the position of the roof rake and even the small angular C-pillar.

The front end is a little different, but the images show the model will have circular headlights with LED daytime running light rings. Interestingly, the lights extend into the grille and effectively replace the chrome bar that is a typically styling feature of Ford trucks.

Further below, we can see a black plastic front bumper and what appears to be two red tow hooks. Other notable styling features include front fender vents, a contrasting roof and aggressive off-road tires.

Ford has been tight-lipped about the Baby Bronco, but the model is expected to arrive sometime after the standard Bronco is launched in 2020. It should hit the market before 2023 and Ford has already said it will target the “growing number of people who love getting away and spending time outdoors with their families and friends.”
