The activity is a part of South Africa’s National SMME Market Access project. This project has been funded by National Department of Tourism through its Tourism Incentive Programme in partnership with Southern Africa Tourism Services Association (SATSA). The initiative helps to upskill, empower small enterprises and broaden tourism products on the market.
About, 300 hidden gems from South Africa’s nine provinces are part of the programme. These gems include safari tour and adventure tour operators, day spas, restaurants, boutique hotels, horse riding or helicopter ride service providers.
The Workshop Ko Kasi, Lengau Travel and Tours, Touch Let’s Go Tourism, Southern Africa 360, AM Lodge, African Link Incentive, Sibahle Facilities Management, JMT Tours & Safaris, Edge Lodge, Montagu Country Hotel, Travel Republic Africa, Giltedge Golf & Safari, and Nongoma Lodge and Inn. WTM Travel will provide a global platform to the representatives of these companies to spread awareness about their organization and to showcase their unique selling points.
Sisa Ntshona, CEO of South African Tourism says that the mission of South Africa Tourism is to promote the hidden gems to holiday makers who are seeking authentic experiences and human connections.
