25-year-old woman robbed of gold chain
tnn | Nov 12, 2018, 23:27 ISTThane: A 25-year-old woman was robbed of her gold chain worth Rs 70,000 at Ghodbunder Road on Saturday. The woman was heading towards her relative’s place when two bike-borne thieves came from behind and snatched her chain. The victim is resident of Solapur and had come to the city to visit her relative.
On Saturday, the victim was walking along Ghodbunder Road with her husband and sister.
While walking, she noticed that the bike-borne men were following them. Before she could alert the others, the pillion rider snatched her chain and fled.
The victim’s husband gave the bikers a chase, but in vain, a police official said.
A case has been registered with the Kasarwadawli police under Section 392 of the Indian Penal Code. No arrests have been made yet.
Meanwhile, the police has cautioned citizens to be careful of such anti-social elements.
