Cape Town – Russell Crowe is unrecognisable as he films scenes for an upcoming television series for Showtime.
Crowe will be playing former chairman and CEO of Fox, Roger Ailes.
According to The Hollywood Reporter the untitled series is based on Gabriel Sherman's reporting and best-selling book, The Loudest Voice in the Room.
The eight-episode series will focus on the last years of his life and include his fall from the network when he was accused by a number of woman for sexual harassment.
Noami Watts will play former Fox News personality Gretchen Carlson who sued Ailes in 2016.
Other cast members include Sienna Miller who will play his wife Beth, Simon McBurney as Rupert Murdoch, and Seth McFarlane as Brian Lewis, the former public relations head at Fox News.
Crowe was pictured on set in New York wearing a prosthetic belly and a receding hairline wig.
