The VHP's international joint general secretary, SK Jain, told TOI that any person who considers himself a "Hindu" will join this rally whether he is from VHP, BJP or any other political party or organisation.
"We will hold the first three public meetings in Nagpur, Ayodhya and Bengaluru on November 25 and the final rally will be held in Delhi," said Jain, adding that the demand is to introduce a bill related to Ram temple in the winter session of Parliament.
"If nothing will come out, the final decision will be taken on January 31 in the Dharam Sansad in Allahabad," he said. Amid a growing chorus from right-wing outfits for an ordinance on construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, BJP MP Rakesh Sinha on November 2 said he will bring a private member's bill in this regard.
Reacting to this, senior Congress leader P Chidambaram had said any ordinance by the government or a bill passed in parliament will be unconstitutional when the matter is sub judice. "In my view, to bring an ordinance would be unconstitutional. So let us see whether the government recognises the constitutional position or it will indulge in an adventurist action," he had told reporters.
