Xiaomi Mi A2 has begun to receive Android Pie beta updates, as reported by XDA Developers. This was spotted through screenshots of the latest beta posted by Whyle, an XDA member. Mi A2 was launched earlier this year, and is an Android One device based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
Since the phone offers a stock Android experience, there is no presence of MIUI on Mi A2. Instead, users will be able to experience regular Android 9.0 Pie features like Adaptive Battery, navigation gestures, and a digital wellbeing app among others.

As per the XDA Developers report, Mi A2 will not be receiving this Android Pie beta over-the-air (OTA). Instead, they would need to sideload the same, and backup their data before doing so. As Xiaomi is testing Android Pie for a range of phones, it is likely that Mi A2 will receive the stable ROM update in the coming weeks.
Xiaomi had promised that the Mi A2 would get Android Pie before the end of 2018.
Featuring a 5.99-inch Full-HD+ display, Xiaomi Mi A2 comes with a screen resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 660 processor paired alongside the Adreno 512 GPU, and is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The device comes with 4GB/6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB of internal storage with expandable memeory, and a 3010mAh battery.
Mi A2 sports a dual rear configuration of vertically stacked cameras. This consists of a 12MP Sony IMX486 camera with f/1.75 aperture, and a 20MP Sony IMX376 camera having f/1.75 aperture. It also has a 20MP front camera with LED flash. Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/A-GPS, and a type-C USB port are among the phone’s connectivity options.
