AGRA: An argument over dog poop between two neighbours snowballed into a clash, with family members joining in and allegedly indulging in pelting stones and assaulting one another at Chamraua village of Bah police jurisdiction. Some 12 people were injured in the clash. A video of the incident shot by a local resident was widely circulated later.

According to police, trouble started around 9 am. A dog owned by a resident climbed atop the roof of a neighbouring house and allegedly pooped over there.

Furious on seeing dog excreta on his roof, the house owner confronted the dog owner. A heated argument ensued between the two neighbours. Subsequently, the situation turned ugly, with family members joining in from both sides. Both sides resorted to fisticuffs and pelting stones at one another. Soon sticks and clubs were brought out and both allegedly used it on the other.

After the incident, the injured members of both families were taken to a local hospital for medical aid.

Speaking to TOI, station house officer of Bah Ajay Kishore said, “Members from both families have sustained injuries, and are verbally accusing each other of triggering the clash, but we are waiting for a written complaint. Prima facie, it seems to be mere issue of dog pooping on neighbour’s roof.”
