Thane corporator's son 'fires' in air, video goes viral

THANE: A video has gone viral showing a Thane Shiv Sena corporator's son firing in the air at a private birthday party hosted by them in Lonavala on Friday. Sanjay Pandey is the elected corporator from ward No. 5 of Thane Municipal Corporation's Gandhi Nagar area. Pandey is also an SRA builder, it is learnt.
In the video, Pandey's son, Neel, can be seen having dinner seated on a chair and firing in the air.
Pandey rubbished the claims, saying, "My son and daughter had thrown a birthday party and around 10 of their friends were present. It's a conspiracy against him. The gun he used to shoot in the air is a toy gun. We are being unnecessarily targeted and defamed."
When asked, a senior official from Thane police said they had no clue about the video.
