Gujarat University botches up dates on exam hall tickets

AHMEDABAD: In another goof up by Gujarat University (GU), the varsity failed to print the dates for its English and Hindi examinations, which were scheduled for November 20 and 21, respectively, on hall tickets issued to examinees. The date for the first examination, which was scheduled for November 20, was printed as November 22 on hall tickets of students taking the semester V examinations.
Officials said that the issue was brought to the notice of college principals after which it was decided to issue fresh hall tickets to students. According to officials, the semester V examination were to be held between November 20 and November 29.
However, the hall tickets bore these dates as November 22 and November 29. Officials said the Hindi examination scheduled for November 21 and the English exam on November 20 were missing from the hall tickets.
