Canada is the first Western country to confirm some of its officials listened to recordings of Jamal Khashoggi's death.  About 10 days after the journalist was last seen walking into the consulate in Istanbul, Turkish officials said they had audio and visual recordings of Khashoggi's death.  Over the weekend, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said his country  shared those recordings  with multiple nations.  CIA Director Gina Haspel  reportedly heard the tapes  when she visited Turkey last month, but U.S. officials haven't confirmed that.  During a press conference Monday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said his intelligence officials have listened to the recordings.

He said, "Canada has been fully briefed up on what Turkey had to share." Khashoggi was killed inside the Saudi consulate on Oct.
