Colours of Life: An exhibition for a noble cause

Mumbai: One hundred renowned Indian artists will come together to showcase their work for a noble cause of raising funds for deserving cancer patients. Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) is all set to present its 14th annual art exhibition ‘Colours of Life’ at Cymroza Art Gallery, Bhulabhai Desai Marg, which will take off from November 16-27.

All the artists have generously contributed their works. It is an eclectic mix from all four corners of Kolkata, New Delhi, Baroda and Trivandrum. ‘Colours of Life’ is an exclusive show where one gets to see works from all genres, a large variety of subjects across landscapes, figurative, abstracts in various styles and media. Sculpture, useable art, fabric assemblage and digital art are included.

Dr. Shubha Maudgal CPAA said, “To be diagnosed with cancer and to be poor is one of the worst hands life can deal you. While medicine offers hope in the form of a variety of treatment options, in reality, choices are limited by what you can afford. CPAA has worked continuously to ensure that patients are not denied the best that research has to offer simply for financial reasons. “We are ever so grateful to some senior artists who have come on board for the first time this year. The collection also includes some very interesting works from artists who have not shown their works in our city,” Maudgal added.
