Leader of Opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, Ram Govind Chowdhary, who was flown in from Madhya Pradesh after he suffered a cardiac arrest, continues to be "very critical", a doctor at the Medanta hospital here said on Monday.
The former Child Development Minister in the Akhilesh Yadav government was first treated at a medical facility in Jhansi and put on a ventilator before being flown to Medanata late on Sunday.
He is being attended to by a team headed by cardiovascular and cardio-thoracic surgeon Naresh Trehan.
"Chowdhary's condition continues to be very critical," said A.K. Dubey, the medical superintendent of Medanta.
