RSS chief to attend meet of 'prachar pramukhs'

VARANASI: A day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi's arrival in the city, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat will reach here on Sunday to attend a six-day meet of full-time 'prachar pramukhs' from six zonal units of northern states at an under-construction private school in Vyasbagh of Koirajpur locality.


This venue of RSS meet is a few hundred meters from Wajidpur village where Modi will reach on Monday late afternoon to address a public meeting.


When this reporter reached the RSS meet venue through a newly laid pitch road on Saturday, over 50 RSS functionaries were busy finalizing the preparations while arrival of participants also began after late evening. RSS sources said that before the arrival of Bhagwat, about 250 full-time volunteers of RSS from east UP, west UP, north Bihar, east Bihar, Uttarakhand and Jharkhand zonal units will congregate at the meeting venue.


The meeting sessions will start following the arrival of Bhagwat, they said adding, that the arrangements for the stay of all participants including Bhagwat and other 10 top office-bearers of sangh has been made on the same campus.
