Demonetisation is one of the biggest scam after independence and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan should give clarification of their unreasonable act which brought turmoil in the Indian economy, said Congress national media Randeep Surjewala, while addressing media here on Friday.
After the demonetisation, the black money deposited in the Swiss Bank had increased and the incidents of insurgency have also multiplied, claimed the Congress leader , adding that naxal attacks were also touching new height. Surjewala claimed that digital payment has dropped and people are going for cash transaction rather opting for digital mode. “On November 8, 2016 the cash flow was Rs 17.17 lakh crore, which has increased to Rs 19.16 lakh crore on October 28, 2018,” he said. Quoting the report of Centre for Monitoring of Indian Economy, the Congress leader said that due to demonetisation 15 lakh people had lost their job and the economy had suffered Rs 3 lakh crore loss.
